The position performs a variety of manual labor tasks in the maintenance and repair, including sidewalks, streets and mowing lawns. Must be an individual who is comfortable in working in all weather conditions. This role requires a good physical stamina, and a good understanding of public works operations and a commitment to maintain cleanliness and our safety of our public places.
Responsibilities: Manual labor tasks related to public works maintenance and repair. Operate a variety of hand and power tools and equipment. Water meter responsibilities. Remove trash and other debris from public areas. Required to drive and pick up poly carts for the city trash service.
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a similar role. Valid driver’s license. CDL preferred or willingness to obtain one. Familiarity with using hand tools, and basic knowledge of repair procedures.
